Purpose
The Status Board is a means of communication regarding the status of upcoming apartment vacancies and apartment turnaround progress. The make ready board can be utilized in Real Page Facilities or a physical board in the office.
Standard
The Status Board is located in the office where it is easily accessible, but out of public view, and/or through Real Page Facilities.
The Status Board must match the apartment availability at all times.
The Status Board is categorized 'On Notice', 'Make Ready', and 'Ready'.
Task Breakdown
1. Begin filling in the Status Board (both in the office and on the computer) upon notice of move-out.
2. When indicating the apartment number, include phase number if applicable.
3. The 'Date Vacated' column is the actual move-out date (set the paid-through date or the date the lease expires).
4. The 'Comment' column may be used at the Property Manager’s discretion.
5. Columns used for the turnaround process should be filled in by using a diagonal slash from the bottom left-hand corner to the upper right-hand corner, splitting each box into two halves.
6. The upper left half of the box will show the date the service work was assigned. The bottom right half will show the initials of the subcontractor or employee to whom the work was assigned.
7. Upon completion of the work, another diagonal line should be placed through the box, marking an 'X' through the box, indicating the work in the column has been completed. Place the date of completion under the date the work was assigned.
8. If no work was necessary in the category, place the letters 'NA' in the box.
9. When all service requests have been completed, management must make a final walk through and place the date and their initials in the 'Ready Date' column.
