Purpose
Bellaire Multifamily Management is dedicated to maintaining all buildings and apartment homes free of insects and rodents, providing the quality expected by our residents.
Standard
A licensed and bonded pest control company must perform all interior pest treatments.
Copies of applicator’s licenses and certifications must be in the office.
Service Technicians are not licensed. Call an outside exterminator for pest control treatments.
A 48-hour notice must be given to residents before treatment.
A separate Service Request must be used for all extermination requests. When completing the form, obtain the following information: resident name, apartment number, phone number, type of pest, and whether the resident owns a pet.
Send a letter to the resident notifying them of the scheduled pest control treatment.
If cabinets are treated, the resident must remove all contents. Explain that untreated areas will likely persist and require re-treatment.
The Lead Service Technician must know and adhere to local Pest Control Board regulations.
All personnel must comply with city ordinances pertaining to their area.
Property Managers must obtain SDS sheets for all chemicals applied.
Task Breakdown
1. If a log is not provided by the exterminating company, create one. Log any apartments denying service and the reason for denial.
2. Ask the vendor to note any pests found in the apartments.
3. Each community must establish a specific spraying schedule.
