Purpose
Bellaire Multifamily is committed to compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local non-discrimination laws. No employee may discriminate against residents, applicants, guests, vendors, or fellow team members in any aspect of service, communication, or decision-making.
Standard
It is illegal to discriminate against any person because of race, genetic information, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, or national origin.
Discrimination based on local or state-protected classes is also prohibited, in accordance with applicable laws.
Bellaire Multifamily team members may not discriminate in employment decisions, housing practices, lease transactions, facility access, or resident services.
It is against company policy to discriminate against anyone in a real estate transaction, pursuant with local and state laws.
Violating anti-discrimination policies or laws may result in immediate termination of employment.
Procedure
Treat all individuals equally in comparable circumstances. If uncertain, consult a supervisor.
Refer all discrimination-related complaints to the appropriate contact at the corporate office.
Do not discuss any complaint with other employees, residents, or external parties.
For employment-related issues, refer to the Non-Discriminatory Hiring Practices policy.
For resident-related concerns, consult applicable guidance under the Fair Housing Act (FHA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Reasonable Accommodations/Modifications policies.
